Biography
Born: Colombia; Resident of the United States Education: It seems as though she has been painting her whole life. She started her art education at Nohra Lennon School of Arts in Cartagena, Colombia studying basic drawing and art skills and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Bellas Artes School of Fine Arts in Cartagena, Colombia. Through various training and education and many years of experience, she has developed her own techniques. Her artistic creations involve figurative and colorful images which tell differing visions to both the artist and the viewer.
Exhibitions: After participating in several solo and group exhibitions in her native country of Colombia, she participated in various exhibitions from 1996 on throughout Florida; including Miami, Delray Beach, Coral Springs, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Tamarac, North Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando. Solo exhibitions were held in Florida at The Shacknow Museum of Fine Arts in Plantation, One Brickell Square in Miami, The Writz Gallery in Miami, ,The Consulate of Colombia in Miami, and recently at Sunrise City Center Gallery in Sunrise.
In addition, her work has been exhibited in Charlotte, North Carolina for the last two years and in New York City.
Awards: First place at Undefined ArtServe Fort Lauderdale in 2009.
Best in show at Coral Springs Artist Guild in 2002.
First place at WITVA Pineapple Grove Gallery and also in Gardens Art City Hall.
Second place at Broward Cultural Foundation and third place at Courtyard Building Boca Raton.
Second place, at ArtBravo! ArtServe Fort Lauderdale. She was recognized at Coral Springs Center of the Arts and WITVA Pineapple Grove Gallery.
